This site sets no cookies

None. Not for analytics, not for advertising, not for a preference. There is no consent banner on theboxom.com because there is nothing to consent to: nothing is stored on your device by this site, and nothing about you is kept.

And it asks nothing of anyone else

Every part of this page - the text, the styling, the typeface - is served from theboxom.com. No font service, no tag manager, no embedded video, no third-party analytics. Opening this page tells no outside company that you did.

The only outside link is to our Facebook page, and that is a link. Nothing is sent to Facebook unless you choose to click it.

What the app keeps on your phone

The boxom app is not a website and does not use cookies either. It stores two things on the device: a sign-in token, so you are not asked to sign in every time, and the language you prefer to dictate in. Both are removed when you sign out.

We do count page views, and this is all of it

We used to measure nothing at all, and said so here. We now count page views, because we could not otherwise tell whether anybody was reading. This is the whole of what is recorded: the page, which language of it, the site that linked you here if there was one, a country, and whether the screen was a phone or a desktop.

It is our own counter on our own server. Your address is not stored, nor your browser's identity, nor any number that would let one visit be tied to the next - and nothing is written to your device, which is why there is still no banner to dismiss.

The price of counting it this honestly is that we cannot count people, only views. Ten views is either ten readers or one reader who reloaded, and we have no way to tell. If your browser sends Do Not Track, we do not count you at all.
